Here is a little video from my first flight on Friday. It took three tries to get the first flight done, because the planes kept breaking before we got to them. Hopefully maintenance gets better so I do not have to stay in San Antonio for 3 more weeks to fly 5 more times. Meagan was nice enough to wait on base all three times trying to get this video.
The flight was fun, but a little crazy. Flying the plane is comparable to driving a school bus on an rough dirt road while the simulator was more like a minivan on the highway.

I still can't believe that something that big is able to get into the air. It looks huge even on the video, and the engines are screamers. Is it loud in the cockpit or are you far enough infront of the engines that its not so bad? Glad everything went well.
That thing looks so big, it doesn't even look like it could get off the ground! Glad it all went well. Hope things work out with them keeping them fixed!!

That is insane! Seems like a far cry from "check handle down, three green, flaps take off". That is awesome I watched the whole thing with my jaw dropped, seriously. I think it is because 62 Hueys could fit in that beast. You are my hero. I hope you get out of tx soon...Good Luck buddy.
