We have been blessed...

...Blessed with *SNOW*

We got about 2 feet from the storm that hit the east. It is really making it feel like Christmas. The real blessing however, is the effect (or affect, I'm never sure) the snow had. Ben was supposed to work all weekend and then he was scheduled to leave on a 10 day mission on the 23rd (that means missing Christmas). But lucky for us, base was closed for 3 days, putting Ben 3 days behind on his sims and home for Christmas. What a Christmas miracle for us. There was no complaining (we don't usually complain about snow anyway) about shoveling or even the snow in our attic, because for our family it has been a blessing of being together.

Merry Christmas
! We didn't send out as many cards as we would have liked this year. So here is our family photo from the card. We hope that your Christmas is filled with love and joy.

Of course Rhone had to sit on Santa's lap, especially since it is his first Christmas. There were no tears, but no smile either. I can't blame him Santa wasn't so cheery, but he did have a real beard (and his belly did jiggle like a bowl full o' jelly).

Yay for snow and Ben staying for Christmas! You all look so good in your Christmas picture! My favorite picture though is the one of Ben pulling Rhone sitting on the boogie board =)

So glad that Ben got to stay for Christmas. I can't remember when being behind was beneficial.
Jenny's husband Michael is friends with my brother. I don't know Jenny very well, but I love her design blog.
p.s. Could Rhone be any cuter in his carhartts?
